Marlise Ahuna, soprano, earned her Master of Music (M.M.), specializing in Vocal Performance, at the University of South Dakota (USD). She has performed with the USD Opera, the Hawaii Opera Theatre, Palikū Theatre in Kāneʻohe, Hawaii, Hilo Palace Theater, in Hilo, Hawaii, Hilo Community Players, Living Music Institute in Oxford, Mississippi, Druid City Opera Workshop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Vermillion Community Theater in Vermillion, South Dakota.

Marlise is a former National Association of Teachers (NATS) state competition winner, placing first in Graduate Classical Division and Musical Theater Upper Women's division.

Ms. Ahuna made her professional debut originating the role of Lehua in Honu By The Sea, with Johnson Entertainment, both in Hawaii and on tours to Seattle, Washington, DC, and Monaco. 

She is an active performer as well as voice teacher/vocal coach.
